After receiving a grant from Sport Wales, Welsh Netball are now in a position to employ community coaches to go into netball clubs throughout Wales and help them become the best club that they can be!
The role of the community coach is primarily not to coach but help in the following areas:
Help the netball club set up a club structure, which will ultimately mean that they are in a better position to work towards getting their club mark accreditation.
Help putting together a club that will achieve model club status.
Help facilitate new coaches and umpires from within the club and support them as they are trained.
Organise and run primary school fesivals and torunaments.
Be a communicative link between Welsh Netball and the club, which means that clubs will be the first to know about upcoming courses and events.
Help clubs with Community Chest funding applications that can go towards paying for coaching and umpiring courses as well as new equipment.
