The secretary is the nerve-centre of any organisation and will need to:

• be the contact for the organisation
• deal with affiliation matters
• help the Chairperson and Treasurer will their roles
• keep minutes of meetings
• deal with all correspondence
• keep good records
• link between members and other organisations

The Sports Council for Wales organises Running Sport courses for all interested volunteers who wish to learn more and mix with volunteers from other sports.
