The Veterans Championship is always a good day of Netball with teams coming together to play with great skill, experience and determination to have a good time, but don’t be deceived they all come with ambitions of winning as well!
This year we had another strong entry of 10 teams with ladies aged 35 to 63 taking to the courts. Following the excellent Netball played in the group stages two teams from each group went through to the Semi Finals. Ystrad Mynach withdrew from the championship at the Semis and created an opportunity for Glam Girls to go through. There were two clear winners that took the courts, after some last minute strapping, for the final, St Peters and ANTS 1.
The competition finished with a convincing win for ANTS 1, congratulations to the 2007 VETERANS CHAMPIONS.
