Ann Smart and Presidents Cup 2007

The teams arrived at Bangor University as winners of their area rounds and they were all ready for action with their sights firmly on leaving as National Champions.
The Ann Smart teams played some strong Netball with four teams entering the afternoon with a chance of winning. Unfortunately the championship saw a game abandoned when a player from Rydal Penrhos dislocate her shoulder, Welsh Netball would like to wish her a quick and full recovery. The players from Eryri took to the court later in the day to complete the fixture and beat West Wales 7-6. This win gave the girls Runners Up of the championship. The winners were a very deserving Afan Nedd Tawe team, congratulations to Ysgol Gyfun Gwyr 2007 Ann Smart Champions.
The Presidents Cup as always showcased some of the young talent that we have in Wales. The competition began with high hopes for all but as we progressed there were two teams in contention for the title. Bishop Gore were chasing the win after they lost to Cardiff and the Vale but they were a strong Presidents Cup Runners Up team. The win was claimed by Cardiff and the Vale who picked up a clean sweep, congratulations to St Teilos 2007 Presidents Cup Champions.
