U14/U16 & U18/U21 INTER AREA 2012
We have now organised the U14/U16 & U18/U21 Inter Area Championships 2012. The U14/U16 Inter Area will be taking place at Deeside Leisure Centre on Saturday 25th February and Glydnwr University on Sunday 26th February. The U18/U21 Inter Area will be taking place at Talybont, Cardiff University on Saturday/Sunday 4/5 February. Below is entry form's and team lists.

DRAGONS AND JUNIOR DRAGONS FIRST FIXTURE IN 2012
The Celtic Dragons and Junior Dragons will both be in action on home soil for their first fixture of the 2012 season on Friday 20 January against Team Bath at the Sport Wales National Centre.

WALES U21 TAKE 2nd WIN AGAINST SINGAPORE U21
Wales U21 fought back in the second half to take their second test against Singapore U21 last night, eventually winning 46 goals to 40.
The Wales team didn't have it all their own way for the first half of the game with Singapore taking a convicing lead early on, however, the Welsh determination didn't let them down enabling them to take the series.

WALES U19 NARROWLY LOSE OUT IN TEST WITH SINGAPORE U21
Wales U19 battled bravely throughout their match with the Singapore U21 squad last night, leading until the dying minutes. However, the Singapore team eventually took the win by 43 goals to 39.
The final test, with Wales' U21 squad, will take place this evening at Neath Port Talbot College.

WALES U21 WIN OPENING TEST WITH SINGAPORE U21
Wales U21 opened the three test series with Singapore U21 tonight at the Sport Wales National Centre, winning by 49 goals to 34.
Tomorrow evening (Tuesday 8th), Wales U19 take on Singapore U21 at Glamorgan University Sports Park, Trefores. Wales U21 complete the series on Wednesday 9th at Neath Port Talbot College.

WALES vs EX-INTERNATIONALS
Tonight saw a fundraising festival of netball ranging from U10 to Senior. The evening started with Junior games involving local U10 and U11 teams, this was followed by a match between Corpus Christi year 11 Boys and Girls (with the Boys performing a very unique Hakka prior to the start!). The pinnacle of the evening involved the Ex Internationals taking on Wales. Wales weren't taking any chances with the final score being 78 - 14 to Wales.
Half time saw the launch of the Welsh Netball Shooting Challenge, kicked off by Wales swimmers David David and Ieuan Lloyd.

Netball features prominently in the Sport Wales Coach of the Year shortlists, with more shortlisted candidates than any other sport.
High Performance Coach, Melissa Hyndman, is shortlisted in the Performance Coach category and Jean Foster (Female Coach) and Catherine Roberts (Contribution to Coach Development) are both also shortlisted.

WALES & JUNIOR DRAGONS SUCCESS
Both the Wales and Junior Dragons teams have had a very successful weekend. Wales came away with the Silver medal at the Netball Europe Open in Belfast on points difference following a win against Scotland and a draw against Northern Ireland. For full results, click here.
The Junior Dragons were playing the final NTL rounds in Walsall Campus of Wolverhampton University and they came away with two wins out of three (against Surrey Storm - 41-35 and Loughborough - 39-25). It could have been three from three, but Mavericks managed to beat them by just one goal.

SQUADS FOR NETBALL EUROPE U17 & U19 ANNOUNCED
Following a week-long training camp during the February half-term, the squads to represent Wales at the U17 and U19 Netball Europe Championships have been announced.

CELTIC DRAGONS VS NORTHERN THUNDER
Prior to the FNSL game, the newly formed Wales U15 squad took on Cheshire U16.
After a very closely fought game, the final score was: Wales U15 - 20; Cheshire U16 - 25
This fixture was followed by the Junior Dragons taking on Team Bath NTL. Again, a closely fought game where the Junior Dragons led throughout.
Final Score: Junior Dragons - 28; Team Bath NTL - 25
The final game of the day saw the Celtic Dragons take on unbeaten Northern Thunder. Although Northern Thunder led throughout, the Dragons managed to draw two quarters and kept close to them all the way through the match, never letting Thunder think the game was in the bag!!
Final Score: Celtic Dragons - 44; Northern Thunder - 50.

The Dragons take on unbeaten Northern Thunder tomorrow (Saturday 26th) at the Sport Wales National Centre. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the door. Don't miss out on what promises to be a VERY exciting match for Dragons supporters.
