While Wales and the U21 squad travelled North to Aberdeen, the Junior Dragons travelled South to Surrey for their opening Triple-Header weekend where they took on West Midland Warriors, Loughborough Lightning and Surrey Storm.

The Junior Dragons will travel to the EIS Sheffield on Saturday 19 November for their first NTL event of the 2011/12 season. Each Franchise will play each other throughout the day in matches which will be 2 x 10 minute halves.

The tournament will be an ideal "warm up" for the Junior Dragons first league fixtures of the season - a triple header weekend to be held on 9/10 December in Sussex - where the Junior Dragons will play:

West Midlands Warriors
Loughborough Lightning
Surrey Storm

The Junior Dragons participate in the NTL (Netball Talent League) with eight of the nine English regions. 

Generally aimed at Under-19 players, Wales uses the eight matches as part of its development of elite players, including preparation for Netball Europe Under-19 and Under-17 events.
