The Committee Structure has recently been reviewed with subsequent updating of the Byelaws which were accepted in the Welsh Netball AGM in May 2011.

PERFORMANCE COMMITTEE

Frequency of Meetings:
Twice per annum (September & May)

Remit:
To review and advise on performance at national level of elite players, coaches and umpires

To review and advise on talent identification programmes and development pathways.

To review, advise and promote the training, development and mentoring of elite coaches and umpires, coach and umpire assessors, coach verifiers, team managers and bench officials.

To disseminate knowledge of the IFNA Rules of the game, rule changes and umpiring and bench officials protocols.

To discuss changes to the Rules and, where appropriate, forward same to IFNA.

Education and Events Co-ordinator
Age Group Coaches
Representative of the Hub Coaches
Representative of the National Selectors
Representative of the Team Managers
Representative of the Bench Officials
Representative of the High Performance Umpires' Mentor Group
Representative of the High Performance Umpires Group
Representatives from the Wales Open Squad
WNA Officer or Board Member

  NATIONAL & LOCAL AREA FORUMS

Local Forums have already been set up in Cardiff and Glamorgan Valleys and are shortly to be followed by S E Wales, N E Wales and Powys.

The Local Forums are open for representatives from both adult and school associations, local authority representatives and Welsh Netball Staff and Directors to attend.

It is the intention that the Local Forums will then feed into the National Forum with representatives from each Area being present and that the National Forum will meet 3 times per year - pre-season (September), mid-season (January), post season (May - around the AGM and concentrating on the calendar).

Remit:
To consider, review and advise on Welsh Netball's domestic tournaments

To contribute to and agree the annual domestic calendar

To promote and maintain a structure of competitive netball for junior and senior players within each of the other Area Associations.

To provide opportunities for aspiring coaches, umpires, team managers and table officials within each of the eight Area Associations.

To ensure that there is a formal opportunity for matters to be raised and discussed and, if appropriate, fed into the system (e.g. direct to Board or via consideration by the Performance Committee or the NDO group etc)
